How can Mr Goyal help?
The commonest symptom of breast cancer is a breast lump (though all breast lumps are not cancers). Other common signs of breast cancer are deformity and nipple retraction. A woman’s breasts go through many changes through her lifetime. It is important to be breast aware and seek advice if there are any persistent changes.
No-one knows what causes some women to develop breast cancer and majority of breast cancers are not hereditary. You may have a family history of breast cancer it is important that you tell your GP about this so that he/she can decide whether you may be at increased risk from breast cancer.
Early diagnosis of breast problems helps to ensure that if cancer is detected, it is an early stage breast cancer and this will improve the chances of successful treatment and survival.
Mr Goyal will always listen to your concerns, appropriately examine you and together we will come up with an agreed plan. It is of paramount importance to him that you feel comfortable with his proposed management.
